top 10 list 2006
I'm sure the academy won't agree with me, but here it is:
inside man
running scared
ATL
district B13
quinceanera
the science of sleep
the last king of scotland
notes on a scandal
akeelah and the bee
john tucker must die
I thought block party was last year, but apparently it was 2005. it deserves an honorable mention anyway.
as always, please feel free to disagree and share your own favourites.

hey, cool...you got "district B13" on your list. I've been waiting to watch this DVD for a few weeks, but can't because Devo is always around (she hates my flicks). Now that I have your seal of aprvl, maybe I can watch it before midnight!
awesome. i love top ten lists. unfortunately i don't think i even saw 10 movies last year so i can't come up with one of my own. although i think "step up" deserves something...maybe best formulaic boy from wrong side of tracks/rich girl dance movie?
I haven't even heard of lots of these! Umm I can't think of any good 2006 movies I saw so I'll stick with your list I guess. Maybe Poseidon - was that 2006?
i haven't seen a single one of those movies. i am bad.
I've only seen Inside Man, but I'm adding more of these to my queue. Speaking of Netflix, I found it interesting that you only rated some of these 3 stars. Not a great year for movies?
In no particular order and I can't even remember all the movies I saw this year, so I'm writing 'em on my calendar this year, here goes my top ten (I think):
Pan's Labyrinth
Children of Men
The Illusionist
Stranger than Fiction
The Departed
Babel
Little Miss Sunshine (yes, I loved it, Andrea!)
The Painted Veil
The Last King of Scotland
Babel
Did V for Vendetta come out this year---I would add that if so. Michael would add Apocalypto which I did not see. I honestly could not stick with Running Scared because the incessant new problems annoyed me although I saw 95% of it and thought it was decent---just annoying---maybe my mood that day. Hey, I should end this or start my own blog, right? Later, Terri D
Wait! I forgot about United 93 and Bobby. Both could have made my top ten if my memory was more intact when I wrote the list!--TerriD
your picks always satisfy...Move to the top of my queue!
here's a mini-list:
Brick
Bobby
