I thought it would be almost impossible to mess up a movie starring Terrence Howard and Bernie Mac, but this one starts out really interesting and plunges into cheesy cliche pretty quickly. the kids were too 70s wholesome for the ghetto, the worst the evil drug dealer could do was pee in the pool, and there wasn't enough of either character development or swimming scenes to satisfy anyone. but I still kind of liked it.
